TESOL Training International San Diego offers you top-quality, affordable TESOL Certification in Southern California. We are a well-known, experienced leader in international education and cultural exchange. Our caring staff and knowledgeable instructors will help you become confident English Teacher ready for the ESL classrooms around the world.
1. TESOL, TESL and TEFL are widely interchangeable terms which essentially mean the same thing. Each of these terms is most commonly used in a different part of the world. At the end of our 60-hour in-class course, graduates receive a combined TESOL/TESL/TEFL certificate which is recognized and accepted around the world (and which includes all components of TESOL, TESL, and TEFL teacher training).
2. Our course is taught at a first year college level and you must be at least 18 years of age to attend. Each course is limited in size with registrations booked on a first come, first serve basis so enroll early to guarantee your spot.
3. Successful completion of the course is partly based on attendance and classroom participation, therefore attending all classes is extremely important. Due to the short duration of the course, no leave-of-absence is possible.
4. We will refund your full tuition if notice of cancellation is made at least two weeks in advance. We will refund your full tuition minus the $100.00 registration deposit if notice of cancellation is made less than two weeks in advance and prior to or on the first day of instruction.
5. If you withdraw from a course after completing 60% or less of that course, you will receive a pro-rated refund -- minus the $100 non-refundable registration deposit -- based on your time completed in the course. If the course materials are returned in their original condition within 30 days from the date of withdrawal, you will also receive a refund for the cost of the materials.
Example: John pays $895 tuition for attending our TESOL/TESL Teacher Training Certification Course. He attends the first two days then withdraws and submits a written request for a refund. Assuming he returns all course materials in their original condition, John would receive the following refund: $895 minus $100.00 (registration deposit), multiplied by two-thirds (i.e. for four days out of the six-day course), equals a $533.33 refund.
6. Payment of refunds is to be made within 30 days of determination of student withdrawal. Students who complete more than 60% of the course will not be eligible for a refund. Any request for a refund is required to be made in writing to: TESOL Training International, 1807 Robinson Ave Suite 201 San Diego California 92103.
7. Any written contract or agreement signed by a prospective student shall not become operative until the student attends the first class or session of instruction.
8. TESOL Training International meets the criteria for registration to provide Short-Term Career (STC) courses pursuant to California Education Code (CEC) Section 94931.
The following applies to California enrollees at our California course locations only:
9. TESOL Training International is a participant in the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF). The STRF was established by the Legislature of the State of California to protect any California resident who attends a private postsecondary institution from losing money if he/she prepaid tuition and suffered a financial loss as a result of the school closing, failing to live up to its enrollment agreement or refusing to pay a court judgment. You must pay the state-imposed fee for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if all of the following applies to you:
a) You are a student, who is a California resident and prepays all or part of your tuition either by cash, guaranteed student loans or personal loans, and
b) Your total charges are not paid by any third-party payer such as an employer, government program or other payer unless you have a separate agreement to repay the third party.
You are not eligible for protection from the STRF and you are not required to pay the STRF fee if either of the following applies:
a) You are not a California resident,
b) Your total charges are paid by a third party, such as an employer, government program or other payer, and you have no separate agreement to repay the third party.
